Hi, I’m Melissa Sharkevich, and I’m proudly changing one life at a time by empowering women to be the best versions of themselves here in Glastonbury, CT. My journey in the beauty industry began in 2005 when I enrolled at the International Institute of Cosmetology in Wethersfield, CT. From the very start, I believed in community over competition and always dreamed of opening a salon where stylists could feel supported, inspired, and united.

Over the years, I’ve witnessed many shifts in the industry — but one recurring challenge that deeply impacted me was hearing clients share their struggles with hair loss. Time and again, I’d refer them to a doctor, only for them to be sent right back to me. That cycle pushed me to take action. I became a certified hair loss practitioner through USTI with the goal of truly helping women regain their confidence. That commitment led me to master a variety of extension methods, with the intent to not only restore hair — but to restore a sense of self.

Invisible Bead Extensions® became the real turning point in my career. After receiving my initial certification, I fully embraced the IBE® method behind the chair. My clients saw transformative results — not just in how their hair looked, but in how they felt. They were able to wear extensions confidently and discreetly, and for me, that kind of transformation is everything.

In recent years, I’ve focused exclusively on offering Invisible Bead Extensions® and color services, while continuing to study the science of hair and the power it holds in a woman’s identity. I’ve pursued advanced education through IBE®, earning certifications in color, cutting, technique, and business.

But my passion has also grown beyond the chair. I’m now the founder of The Mane Method — a business coaching platform created to help stylists get organized, protect their businesses, and build sustainable growth with the right tools and systems in place. What started as a personal mission to empower my clients has evolved into a greater purpose: guiding other artists to feel confident not just in their craft, but in their careers.
